
Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has been rule out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. The club have confirmed.
Sabitzer, who joined United on loan from Bayern Munich in January. Has scored three times over 18 appearances for the club in 2023. The Austrian international was signed initially as cover for Christian Eriksen. Who suffered an injury of his own in January’s FA Cup win over Reading.

Sabitzer has made 18 appearances and scored three goals since his arrival.
He was also part of United’s League Cup-winning team at Wembley in February.
As it stands, Sabitzer may have made his last appearance for United. With his loan deal up at the end of the campaign and no option to buy included in the deal when it was concluded. Sabitzer is due to hold talks with new Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, though United may revisit the situation as they look to improve their squad over the summer. United need two wins to ensure a top four finish and a return to the Champions League next season.
