Deschamps refuses to answer questions about his future with the national team after leading the team to failure to Euro 2024.

Deschamps has in charge of the national team since the end of the Euro 2012 tournament. Contract with the French national team ends in mid-2026.
France coach Didier Deschamps has refused to rule out his future after his side’s Euro 2024 triumph ended in the semi-finals.
Les Bleus suffered another European heartbreak under Deschamps after losing 2-1 to Spain, who finished the tournament with just one goal from open play in their six games. The lack of results has led to questions over his future.
“Ask the president of the Football Association. I just lost in the semi-finals. Do you think I’m ready to answer this question? I respect you ยูฟ่าเบท (the journalists) but please try to respect the people who have responsibility. I’m talking to you calmly. What will happen will happen. I’m here to answer questions, but I won’t answer this question to you today. You know the situation. We just lost, but as I said, I recommend you to ask the president of the association rather than me,” Deschamps said.
Ahead of Euro 2024, French national football association president Philippe Diallo said Deschamps’ position was not shaken, despite the team’s substandard performance in the final tournament. During his 12 years with the French national team, the team won the World Cup once from two finals and was the runner-up in Euro 2016.
